A busy month to come filled with ups and downs!

Well as some of you may know I am closing Prissy Ink...It is sad but I know its the right decision with the economy being what it is. We will keep the website up and going so we will continue our sales there. With that said it gives me time to focus on my photography which I might add is doing very nicely. God has certainly blessed me with clients! I am almost completely booked for April weekends and I am taking appointments for May. I have 8 photo shoots this weekend! WOW! It will be a whirlwind! I am looking forward to it! I will be posting some sneak peeks after Sunday.

On another note... My cousin Karen is in town this week and she is a photographer in Atlanta! Well she took our family photos tonight! I am so excited I cannot wait to see them... Its odd being on the other side of the camera! I don't like this waiting! HAHA!

My baby girl turned 5 this weekend! Oh what a blast they had! We had a Girly party filled with little Divas. They got their hair done, their nails painted and the faces made up! Oh what fun! I will leave you with a photo from that and a photo from few shoots I had recently!

Time flies when you are having fun! Happy St. Patty's Day! I hope everyone is having an awesome March! I know I am! My photography business is doing well and I am meeting some pretty great new people! I have many upcoming photo shoots so hopefully I will be able to keep up with this thing and post some peaks! I have done a few shoots since I last posted! I was able to do a model photo shoot for the beautiful Jade and a big family gathering for the Longs and the Vaughts! They were a great family to work with. Such nice people and beautiful children! I am still scheduling photo shoots. I am pretty much booked for March and I am booked the first weekend in April. I have blocked off the 2nd weekend in April for my anniversary (9th woohoo) so let me know if you want to schedule! I have a few I know that want to so better get you time scheduled! Its a New Year! What will 2009 hold?

Well the new year is here! Officially 2009. Wow how time flies when you are having fun! Things are getting back to normal this week with the kids back to school and Mike and I both back to work. I am so thankful for all of the blessing God bestowed upon us in 2008 and I just know that whatever comes our way in 2009 God is with us supporting us and guiding us. I pray that all of those our there that are having rough times right now that you will hold on to your faith in the lord and know that even though things seem really bad right now God is with you and he will see you through it just trust in him and hold on to your faith.

The store is completely bare of inventory. The holidays were good to us! I will be heading to Atlanta this weekend to the market to order some new items and replenish some old! Come by in a week or so and check us out! New gifts for those tweens and gifts under $10.00!

I had the opportunity to do a photo shoot last week from a previos client referral! What a great compliment! Although the weather was harsh we made the most of it and I hope they like what we got. Here is a preview!

Up next is my Little one... She is such a Camera Ham! Lord, please help me because I know I am in for it when she gets older! Until next time!

Well Christmas is less than a week away and I am not ready yet! It has snuck up on me this year and with everything else thats going on time has gotten away from me. Oh well! It will all come together in the end! Things have really picked up at the store and we are in full swing daily! Its very hectic and a little overwhelming but this is a learning process. I have one more photo shoot this weekend and then I think I am with Holiday Photo shoots until the new year! It has been such a blessing to meet so many new families this year and be able to capture their memories they will cherish forever. I will post a few from some shoots since my last one. I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and that you take time to remember the true meaning of Christmas, Jesus. I thank God daily for the Jesus and the sacrifices he made so that we may one day dwell in the house of the Lord! Oh what a glorious day that will be! May God bless you in the coming year.

Back to work and tired!

Well I stayed home 3 weeks post surgery and this is my first week back to work. I must say it has been a little overwhelming and very exhausting! But I am making it. Christmas season is in full swing and somehow I just am not there yet....hmmm I need some Christmas cheer! Anyway I was scheduled to have 3 photo shoots last weekend and with the wonderful rainy weather we had I had to reschedule them. I have 3 shoots this weekend so look forward to some postings next week. For now I will leave you with a few from this weekend of my darling little ones and my sister and her husband. The sky was gloomy but they are okay!

Well I am at home recuperating from my surgery and let me say I am glad to be home! The surgery was a little tougher on me than I thought it would be and I had a reaction to a medication they gave me to help me rest! Lets just say that a whole day is gone from my memory. A little scary to say the least. Hopefully all of that is behind me and I am on the road to recovery! Thank you to all of you for your calls, emails and prayers they have meant the world to me! If you still need to schedule your Holiday photo appointment please do say I have a dew spots left at the end of the month. Whew what a week last week was!

Well last week was a whirlwind for my family! My Father-in-law had heart bypass surgery unexpectedly last week and it threw our already hectic week way out of wack. Thank you to all of you who sent your prayers our way they were defintely felt! He is at home and recuperating!

In the midst of that I had two photo appointments last week, fall festival at church, and we left for our mountain vacation...your head spinning yet? I know mine was! But it was a wonderful and much needed break. We had a great time!

Now back to the grind... 1 week to go before my surgery and the time is quickly running out to get everything done! This week on top of getting the store ready I have 8 photo appointments before Tuesday! Whew! I think I can, I think I can, I think I can...

Well, since my last post things have certainly been eventful! I am scheduled to have surgery on November 11th and will be down and out for a couple weeks! So smack dab in the middle of Holiday portrait time! Time Flies!

Well I know, I know it has been along time since my post! I just can't seem to remember to do this. Anyway, life has been good over the past month! The kids are doing well in school and I think we are all finally adjusting. My Grandmother celebrated her 80th Birthday with a surprise party put on by her sons and it was lots of fun! I pray that when I am 80 I have a big party like that and that I am surrounded by that many friends! My Dad had back surgery this past weekend in Charleston and it was a struggle to handle everything with the kids and the store so that I could go and be there with him and help my mother but in the end it all worked out. He is doing well and is home. While in Charleston I had time to read "The Shack" by Paul Young. This book is amazing! It has changed me somehow in how I think about my realtionship with God and how I want it to be. It is a fiction book but some of the dialog rings so true. I hope that you will take the time to read it. It might just change who you are!

Well I have been working on getting Christmas cards ready for photo clients and I am scheduling appointments. If anyone is interested in hosting a Picture Party let me know we can do these as well. Well the end of summer has arrived! Let's have a moment of silence to mourn the quick passing of Summer! ......................................................................................... Well where did it go? My family and I just got back from a long weekend at Pawleys Island our last hoo-rah for the end of the summer! It was much needed and enjoyed! Well where do I start a lot has taken place in the past couple of weeks!

Another year older my how time flies! Grant is getting so big it feels just like yesterday he was a baby! Well we had a sleepover for Grant's birthday on Friday night and let me just say there was not a whole lot of sleeping going on!!!! Grant got a Wii for his birthday and we have had a blast with it!! He loves it! Summer is almost over and I feel time creeping up on me to enjoy the summer! Where did it go! I will post some pics to share!!!

Glad to be back home and with my family! Belize was a wonderful experience! I am so blessed in my life and the experience made it that much more evident to me! I enjoyed the people and relationships that were built over there! I wil definitely go back! Thank you to all of you for your prayers and well wishes. They were felt across the miles!

Back to work!!! My store was well taken care of while I was gone by my wonderful husband! My mother says he has won the award for "Husband of the Year!" He got the store organized... I am still trying to locate things!!! But I love it!

Off to Belize!

Well I haven't posted in a while! But... I am off to Belize on a Missio Trip with our church. We leave Saturday and we will return next Saturday! I am excited, scared, nervous and probably a whole bunch of other things. But God will take care of it all I know. Please say a prayer for us as we travel and pray that atleast one heart is changed because of our mission. I will try to post some pictures when I return!

Well this week was very busy... Vacation Bible School at out church was this week and I along with two others had the 3 and 4 year old class! We averaged 12 a night! FUN! I am give out! The kids are out of school and happy to be home! I do feel a little left out not being able to be with them. Something I am definitely going to have to get used to. Only one more month and I am off to Belize for the church mission trip... I am so excited and nervous at the same time but I know God will provide and he will take care of me. I will leave you with a beautiful and energetic little girl of whom I had the honor of taking her photos. Her mother is a shopper of Prissy Ink and now they are photo clients as well. We had fun on the beach but I must say it was crowded... I mean how many people can possibly think they are getting a suntan at 6:30 pm??? Anyway here is my fav shots!

Exciting news! Prissy Ink has a new website and you can now purchase items off the web! So send the link to all your friends and family out of town because now they can get the same great items you get from us online! We are still working out a few things and adding products but I figured we could go ahead and put it on the web.

The kids are getting ready to get out of school and trying to figure it all out...mommy's first summer working in 4 years! Hopefully we will all adjust. Lots of things going on this summer trips and such but I am still have some weekends open for pictures! I will try to post when I can!

Atlanta was fun. We have several new items in the store and some on the way! I am so excited! Come check them out! I also had two shoots today and we all forgot it was Biker week! Well I just can't seem to remember to post on this thing! I think about it and then I forget it! Well life has been busy and so has the store! God has blessed us in so many ways! I have had a few people inquire if I am still taking pictures and the answer is "Yes I am!" Happy to make appointments on Fridays, Saturdays and special requests too! My Baby turns 4!

Well today was Tori's Birthday! The big 4! It amazes me how time flies and how you blink and the are no longer babies. We had a great time at the party it was a western theme that we shared with our friends Mark and Heather because their son and Tori were born on the same day and their little girl on the 27th. The kids had a blast and the parents enjoyed themselves as well. Just a little sad that my baby is not so much a baby anymore. Where did the time go?

Well I just have been so busy with everything that its been hard to find time to post on here as you can see! But Easter was wonderful and the first month of Prissy Ink being open was outstanding! It is so much more than I ever thought. It has definitely taking some getting used to but things are great! Well things have been so hectic I haven't even had a chance to rest! The store is finally ready to open and Monday will be the official opening day! I am so excited and nervous at the same time as I anticipate what this journey that I am about to embark on will lead me to. I must say after being a stay at home mom for the past 4 years it is somewhat scary to me to be going back out into the business world and especially full fledge like this! The store has been our main focus for the past month and a half and I must say that my husband and I are exhausted! I am thankful for such a wonderful husband that has worked so hard and on something that has been my dream! I am so very proud of what we have done and I wanted to thank all of my friends and family who have been so supportive and encouraging over the past month! I can't wait to share with you what we have done! I thank God for his wonderful gifts to me of loving family and friends and the opportunity to have a go at doing things that I love! Well this weekend went by too fast! Sunday was a good day for pictures! The family went to the beach and played and took some pics we had a good time and I managed to get some great shots! I shot Ms. Izzie yesterday for her 1 year shots and she was such a camera ham! Mom and I have been a little slack on getting together to take these because of the holidays but hey it all worked out! We shot at my sister's again with the great light coming through the windows this time we almost had too much!!! Anyday now again waiting on the bill from her!!! Well I had a session on Monday with Blake and he is just adorable! His Aunt Jen said he was a beautiful baby boy and yep he was! I also found my new favorite place to take photos when I have to do them inside! My sisters new house! Although she will probably have to start charging me but she has this great carolina room with 6 windows! All the light you could want! I didnt bring out my flash one time with this session!
